Our Elmore Chapel is located in one of the older homes in Elmore. The historic, Italianate styled home was built along the banks of the Portage River for the Ickes family in the mid 1800's. Mr. Ickes was Elmore's undertaker and furniture dealer. It also housed the H.E. Burman Funeral Home for many years, as well as the R.F. Myers Funeral Home. Our warm, homelike facility completely redecorated in 2005, is handicapped accessible and features lighted, off-street parking and a comfortable lounge for family and friends. An additional parking area to the rear of the building was added recently.
